Mirah-The_Old_Days_Feeling-2008-RTB
其實我從未認真聽過Mirah，但我被這張唱片沒有降噪的第一首曲子完完全全的征服了。正點Dream-Pop氣質，那么純美而不失性格的女聲，那么妥貼而不失性格的走向與編曲，趣味與旋律并重，這個女子不簡單哪不簡單。

 Patti_Smith_and_Kevin_Shields--The_Coral_Sea-2CD-2008-WUS
來自兩個現場演出的錄音（第一碟05年，第二碟06年），朋克教母Patti Smith念詩，自賞鼻祖My Bloody Valentine的Kevin Shields用吉他墊后。語言的障礙拉開了我們與這張唱片的距離，不過作為一個既喜歡音樂又熱愛英語的人來說，不失為一張很好的英語聽力唱片。

 Antonia_Leukers--Hasenlove-Vinyl-2008-i8
Antonia Leukers來自漢堡，女，視覺藝術家。這是她創作的第一張音樂唱片：運用自己焊接的麥（效果還挺好。。），廉價的玩具樂器、Gameboy以及用MD記錄下的廚房里的聲音等等，風格勉強就算個indie吧，因為還是有些原聲吉他的段子，也有像模像樣的演唱。她對兔子有一種特殊的愛，因此這份黑膠的有一面就印著兩只兔子，看大的照片，細節設計的非常美觀，而整個專輯里邊我最喜歡的第三首曲子，正好叫做Bunny's Dream（小兔的夢），和曲子一樣美的名字。

 Jasper_TX-Black_Sleep-(MIACD008)-2008-MAEM
凭借去年那张A Darkness一举将我拿下的怪才Jasper TX今年再出新片，几遍过下来发觉此人越走越黑，就像唱片封套一样。氛围的铺垫在上张中本来就不少，在这张里边更是大行其道，但其实我并不喜欢他里边氛围的部分，他明显不是这方面的行家，但是可惜本人却永远无法抵抗在氛围之后那些才天的器乐段子，一两把吉他就把我搞定。凄凉而孤决，寂寞而美丽。那些氛围段落的安排也许是为了显得比现今那些后摇二逼更高深一筹吧，但是我每次却总爱跳过那些氛围段子而直入他动人的梦幻器乐主题。。

 Leila-Deflect-(WAP244CD)-2008-JUST
首先这是一张Warp的出品，印象中n年没有听过他家的东西了。电子、电吉他和一个性格女声，比吹泡更rock些，比rock更电一些，当然这只是个大体风貌，另外还有童声、合成器流行、淡淡的数码硬核等等玩意，其实国内也有很多组合这么搞的，但是都没这个Leila来得有味道。这只是张不到15分钟的EP，然后我便开始期待他们的全长唱片。

 Volcano--Paperwork-(Leaf)-Promo-2008-UKi
其實樂隊真實的名字叫做Volcano!，但文件夾是不支持感嘆號的。之前帶這個單詞的樂隊名稱只知道一位，抽風團Volcano the Bear。不知道是巧合還是故意，這隊Volcano!隊名里邊雖然沒有"Bear"，但他們的封套上卻赫然印著一只熊，甚至連唱片盤面上都印有一只完整的熊。帶"Bear"的抽風，帶感嘆號的也當仁不讓，但他們的“抽風”屬于Radiohead之"Paranoid Android"式的那種神經質，我猜這首歌也許就是Volcano!的圣經，因為它幾乎支撐起了他們這整張專輯。當然，他們不是Radiohead。

 The_Joy_Of_Nature-The_Empty_Circle_Part_I-2008-FWYH
葡萄牙民謠/氛圍團。他里邊有一種我不知道是什么名字的樂器，聲音很像古箏。包括整個感覺，都很肅穆、很東方，神迷而又遼遠。

由那部关于他的黑白纪录片开始更深入的了解了前卫吉他怪才Bill Frisel其人，一个在各种重要组合、重要唱片中反复出现、在各种文字及报道中反复被提及的名字。他涉猎的范围之广，使得他可以在发疯厂Tzadik和John Zorn、灰野敬二等一批抽风的 疯玩一把之后又一本正经的出现在一本正经的世界音乐重要厂牌Nonesuch的唱片列表中，并且玩得有模有样，这里边不单有他的电琴、木琴，还有一帮人陪他拉提琴、打鼓、吹萨克斯等等，一个富于人格魅力的融合大师，一张泛黄的醇美佳作，舒适，经典，永不过时。

 Beequeen_-_Sandancing-2008-agw
印象中蜂后的模样已经模糊，所以听这张新专我就像在听一个对我来说全新的团体。只感觉整体的气氛和气质似乎与印象中的那个很接近，但手法却比较对不上号。更多的唱，更多的电，更加的easy listening，有时阴郁的就像那些芝加哥地下的后摇或实验团体，有时又摇身一变披上了indie的外衣；有我喜欢的Electro-Acoustic的频率，在the honeythief一曲中竟还出现了Arab Strap最爱使用的那种电鼓音色……他们最屌的地方在于，把这一切光怪陆离的表达方式全部刷上蜂后的颜色，很棒很出色。

 Islaja--Blaze_Mountain_Recordings-2008-i8
这位芬兰姐姐很明显希望变得更加的迷幻和真实，她希望去触及那些神迷的东西。但很可惜的是，她做得并不够好，痕迹明显，甚至拙劣。我觉得她还是应该走之前的路子，而不是搞现在这种莫名其妙的东西。因为莫名其妙的东西不是每个人都能搞得好、搞得有意思。

 Leo_Abrahams--Scene_Memory-2006-i8
又一张吉他唱片，又一个全新的方向。他的做法是：将吉他串上单块效果器的传统做法用串笔记本电脑来替代，即兴演奏并实时记录，不做后期效果的编辑。这样做的结果是：你完全不敢相信这是一张全部有吉他完成的唱片，可以说在这个东西里，电脑赋予了吉他一个新的生命，因为那些神奇的音色，使得整个唱片神迷而空灵，充满想像力。冬冬跟我说听到有些音乐的时候，它们会给你希望，让你觉得有力量，他说的无疑就是这样的音乐。

The promotional blurb Static Caravan uses to introduce
this album really doesn't do it any justice.
Instead of getting to the heart of the matter and reminding
you that Robin Saville is one half of Morr Music lifers Isan,
the text announces him as a "social worker turned gardener".

Irrespective of the day job, Saville remains a master of warm,
melodic electronica, occasionally calling upon a handful of
conventional instruments like guitars and glockenspiels, all
tangled up in a sticky web of glowing synth tones and punchy
analogue drum machines.

Isan have always been so much more than mere sound
engineers, and 'Peasgood Nonsuch' provides another fine
demonstration of the vivid musicality behind Saville's bank of
machines.
From the gentle, tuneful beginnings of 'Magpie' you're instantly
brought back to that classic sound of their Morr Music debut
Salamander, bristling with airy electronics before something
that sounds more like Robin Guthrie than Robin Saville springs
up on 'An Outdoor Planetarium And..' - its shimmering tremolo
guitar instantly evoking the effects-soaked sounds of the Cocteau
Twins.

As easy as it is to focus on Saville's melodious, textured
instrumentation, it's also worth mentioning his drum programming:
while something like 'Colin The Lazy Cormorant' features some
fairly rudimentary percussive impulses, a piece like 'Charm' indulges
in far greater detail, sounding positively 3D in its satisfying snap,
crackle and pop.

Until the next Isan full-length drops, this will do very nicely indeed.

 Marc_Ribot--Exercises_In_Futility-2008-i8
一个同Elvis Costello, Maryanne Faithful, Tom Waits, Bill Frisell 以及 Sun Ra等不同风格领域内佼佼者有染的吉他手；一个特立独行的激进派，把这张听起来相对于无影手Micheal Angelo另一派让人感到impossible的吉他solo唱片放进了我们的耳朵里，之所以说是另一派，是因为Marc只使用木琴，并且不完全靠速度取胜，各种现存或未知指法的应用层出不穷，充满想像力的把位走向……我相信他的吉他谱看上去肯定也将是完全impossible。

 Phantom_Orchard--Orra-2008-i8
继续Tzadik。Phantom Orchard由两个女子组成：Ikue Mori 和 Zeena Parkins。前者玩电，后者竖琴，不过我从他们04年在Mego旗下出的那张同名开始到现在，都不是很喜欢这队组合。但感觉这张要好过04年那张，光怪陆离的很多很多元素，最出彩的地方还是竖琴。

唯一特别的地方，他们有一种放在桌上的吉他，其他则并没有太多出彩之处。两个人，表明了这个世界上有的人爱弹吉他，有的人则爱摆弄笔记本。

editing suite of legendary p*ss artists Cassetteboy.

If you've heard any of their previous five mixes before
you'll know exactly what to expect, but with an almost
infinite amount of raw material surrounding them the
results are always going to prick the bubble of expectation
with a crude and blunt instrument. A personal favourite
here would have to be the observation on homoerotic
tendancies in the English football premier league with
unfortunate soundbites from Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer
and all those other goons who manage to make 8 hours
of conversation out of 90 minutes of sweaty ball play.

Other topics for tickling include the usual toilet jokes,
mobile phones, lots of blue language and double entendres
all cut together with a sniggering attitude that the duo have
made their own. Reet funny.
